Consultation Fee

£20

During the appointment both ears will be examined, and you will be advised if ear wax removal would be beneficial, if no wax is present you will be advised regarding general ear health and signposted to an alternative health care professional (ie. GP, Pharmacist, audiologist) if clinically required.

Micro-Suction Ear Wax Removal

£40 for one ear or £60 for both ears

Micro-Suction ear wax removal is undertaken using a microscope and medical suction device. Usually Micro-Suction does not require any pre-treatment with drops however 2-3 days of Olive Oil is the best preparation. Using a low-pressure suction device excessive wax can be safely removed. Occasionally Ear Irrigation will also be used in conjunction with Micro-Suction if clinically required.

Foreign Body Removal

£40

Following comprehensive history taking and examination, foreign bodies such as ear buds, hearing aid domes and plastic may be safely removed from the ear canal. Medical advice will need to be sought if any trauma or infection has occurred due to the presence of any foreign body in the ear.
